La Tour Eiffel

Bonjour!

So today I woke up at 7am to get ready for the day, thankfully it was overcast this morning and much cooler! Last night there were thunderstorms and it also rained today while we were at uni. First we had french- I am in the first intermediate group taught by Agnes who is absolutely hilarious, however has also banned us from speaking english!

For lunch, we all sat outside in the sun after buying food from the monoprix before our luxury fashion class with Veronique. Veronique knows absolutely everything about everyone...she also sends bottles of perfume from Guerlain, chanel and prada around the class for us to look at and smell if we wish!

So after uni we arranged to go into the center of Paris as it was Kayleigh's birthday today (girl from uni)! We got the metro line 1 from La Defense to Charles de Gaulles Etoile, and then changed to line 3- Its so hot on the metro and was quite busy on our way into town, however it is much safer than you would expect. Once in Paris we went for dinner at a pizzeria which is typically parisian, with tables outside, lots of wine and views right over the city!

After our meal we literally turned left and snapped like happy Japanese tourists!

Maintenant je suis fatiguee!

Until tomorrow,

37 degrees??

Who knew that temperature even existed outside mumbai? Certainly not me...today I dressed head to toe in black...tres chic normally but definitely not smart!

From my phone conversation you know most of today's news- the heat, my french interview, luxury brand marketing and perhaps the two chinese boys called...Tom & Jerry (seriously), who seemed to know everything about the quality and texture of a Hermes handbag (slightly worrying, right)- so I will just upload a few pictures of the view from the 9th floor of the university and also from my bedroom window!

The bottom two are the view out of our bedroom window- blue skies!

Its a long way...out of Scotland

Well what a journey it has been..

The day started at around 7am with a wake-up call from my beautiful mother who, after layering on the slap, phones up to take my breakfast order (I am sadly aware that this paints me in a very bad light)- Tea and a croissant- I am after all travelling to Paris!

After a farewell from the family, excluding Jade and Amber who were otherwise engaged, I began the journey from Edinburgh to London... lets just say the less said about that, the better. All you need to know is that it was hot, sweaty and long. However the saving grace was definitely my packed lunch!

A blurry picture aboard the Eurostar in London

Taken as soon as I got off the train in Paris- the heat was overwhelming!

Buildings as seen from Taxi rank

Some little restaurants on the way to Courbevoie- the streets were jam packed with people out enjoying the 36 degree heat!

Until next time ma famille!
